After completing a Bachelor of Science in Music in 2004, I launched into a career as a professional violinist with the Augusta Symphony Orchestra in Augusta, GA. I also built private teaching studio of over 50 students, taught in multiple schools, and played in small ensembles and solo for multiple events. In 2008, I took the next logical step in my career progression, and joined the United States Marine Corps to become a Naval Aviator. Over the next 11 years on active duty, I was deployed conducting bi-lateral, humanitarian and security operations throughout 18 different countries flying the MV-22 Osprey. I finished my time on active duty teaching the next generation of Osprey pilots at Marine Corps Air Station New River. As I transitioned to the civilian sector in 2019, I was fortunate enough to start working for American Airlines flying the Boeing 737, which continues to be my primary job. I continued to instruct new Osprey pilots as a Marine reservist until March 2022, when I transitioned to my current reserve billet as a Marine for Life Representative covering upstate South Carolina. As a Marine for Life Representative, I am a regional point of contact in upstate South Carolina for transitioning service members, linking them to employment, educational, and military support opportunities in the local area.
