About Mark Eynon

In 1983 I was appointed the first Artistic Director of Henley Festival ,and in 1988 became Director of Salisbury Festival. Sir Jeremy Isaacs’ invited me to be his Personal Assistant when he was appointed General Director Royal Opera Housein 1990 and I was later appointed Director of Covent Garden Festival. As a response to my deep interest in the spiritual and therapeutic effects of music, I founded Healing Sounds, in Brighton, part of the Millennium Festival. My other passion is Wagner and in 2013 with Barry Millington I established Wagner 200, celebrating Wagner’s bi-centenary in association with some of London’s leading arts organisations.In 1999 I was appointed Director of Newbury Spring Festival and in 2009 established the associated Sheepdrove Piano Competition.
