This also required regular liaison with the offshore accounting operations team based in Singapore; - consolidation of CRES global month end performance and presentation to senior finance, incorporating the four (4) regions (UK, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Americas);- management of the UK and EMEA CRES Budgets and quarterly Forecasts, including providing system training, challenge and review of the CRES business’ inputs before consolidating and reporting results to regional CRES Senior Management;- management of the Global Budget process for CRES and Capital Projects, including indirect management of 10 finance colleagues globally by setting key budget timeframes, holding regular regional budget sessions and driving each to meet the challenging timeframes; and- consolidation of the CRES and Capital Projects Budget for submission to Managing Directors including an analytical review of the regional budgets (total £460m per annum), preparation of the Budget MI decks (e.g. detailed cost bridges) and presenting same to senior finance. Key initiatives delivered included:-- Project lead on enhancing and automating the monthly CRES MI, specifically developed all the regional and global MI reports which incorporated specific budget owner and reporting by site, working closely with CRES COO and regional finance teams; and- Developed CRES long-term forecasting tool, incorporating building specific rent reviews, lease breaks, building exits, future depreciation profiles and inflationary assumptions for the current and following three years.

My key responsibilities included:-- preparation of monthly management accounts and rolling forecast for both the Education & Learning business stream (annual turnover of £12m) and the Dubai-based business (annual turnover of £5m), using full FX accounting;- monthly reporting and analysis of each business stream’s Key Performance Indicators, including working capital, headcount, utilisation and hourly sales rates;- regular project reviews with individual project directors covering an overview of each project, any known risks and working capital position (approximately 60 project reviews a month);- reporting the financial results to the business stream’s Executives at monthly board meetings, discussing the next month’s forecast and identifying where attention is required, e.g. staff utilisation; and- preparation of Mouchel's Management Consultancy’s budget (turnover £35m) making assumptions on turnover, sales rates, headcount and billable utilisation before reviewing with the division’s executives.Key initiatives delivered during my time at Mouchel included:-- Involvement in a number of multi-million pound government tender bids, including reviews of tender documentation, review of the financial position of potential Joint Venture partners and research of preferred bid vehicles with advice to Commercial Director and Project Directors;- Preparation of detailed financial models for these tenders, in particular for a £12m and £7m tender; and- Presented these models at internal bid review meetings with the CEO and Finance Director.
