I am a successful manager of business operations who leveraged his experience and expertise to transition to a multi-faceted career in Information Technology. This evolution was driven by my desire to pursue the things I find most interesting in business: understanding business and technical processes, and determining how those processes should be represented and served in terms of data, including architecture, presentation and corresponding analytics. Ultimately, I have chosen to pursue the various facets of Business Intelligence analysis and development as they offer me the greatest opportunity to satisfy that passion to translate data to actionable information. During my career, I have managed both business and IT functions for 14 countries across three continents. I have had the opportunity to collaborate and partner with hundreds of persons and dozen of companies representing many different cultures, currencies, languages, legal and financial requirements, and privacy regulations. This experience has left me somewhat uniquely qualified to build, manage, and support various Business Intelligence solutions encompassing both localized and globally consolidated reporting and analytics for revenues exceeding two billion dollars.My skill set is best summarized by the type of work I have done in the past several years. Whenever a business user requested information or analysis, even to the point of needing large data interchanges built between systems, I was the primary person to support that request. I served multiple roles in the development lifecycle for those solutions including project management and initiation, requirements gathering and analysis, feasibility review, design and architecture, development, testing and deployment, documentation and training, and warranty support. I have a proven ability to interchangeably support all of those functions as required by the size and experience of the team resources I am working with.
