Worked in housing sector for approximately 20 years. Starting in Estate Agency & Letting, moved into Social Housing in 2008. Initially led a team in letting all empty properties within a stock of 9000 homes. In this time oversaw the introduction of a Choice Based Lettings System and maintained highly efficient performance outcomes.Moved into Housing Management overseing an area of Braintree District. This incorporated Tenancy Management, Anti-Social Behaviour, Estates Management, Events Management, Environmental Improvements, and Resident Involvement. Whilst in this role project managed some large Community Improvement projects. Later specialisation in Estates Management, managing a Ranger service, inspecting Estates and Communal areas within Housing Schemes and project managing Community Led improvements. During this time i developed a passion for Community Empowerment by helping local residents create and develop their own constituted Resident Groups.Seconded into Neighbourhood Manager role for a recently merged Housing Association of 12,000 home. Leading a Housing Management Team including Lettings, Health & Well Being, Estate Management, Tenancy Management, and Anti-Social Behaviour. The role also involves taking a strategic lead in the development of the Anti-Social Behaviour Service.Currently working on a community led project team developing an initiative to reduce Social Isolation in the Witham area.
