Two questions that really interest me – “How can we help people access the best opportunities?”, and “How can we make sure they’re equipped to succeed when they reach them?” – By working towards the answers, I aim to make a positive difference through my career, and help individuals and organisations find success in theirs.I work collaboratively with multiple partners to tackle social problems, and develop the capacity of leaders and teams to deliver effective, tailored solutions. I enjoy building relationships, developing adaptable frameworks and resources, and finding solutions to challenges with flexibility, pragmatism and imagination. I am further advancing the knowledge and capacity I can apply by studying part-time the Masters in Social Innovation at the Judge Business School, Cambridge.I am the Learning and Development Manager for Eastlight Community Homes - the UK's largest Community Gateway association - where I lead my team to deliver an ambitious and empowering L&D programme for our staff, to get the best outcomes for our customers. Previously I coordinated the regional activity of five universities and nine colleges in a collaborative programme to improve social mobility in East Anglia as part of Uni Connect, have connected schools and businesses to build better careers programmes in the Careers and Enterprise Company, and have led a team of volunteers in Bangladesh with Y Care International.If you are interested in social innovation, improving progression and employability (especially in the realms of social class and 'merit'), or developing collaborative programmes, feel free to start a conversation!
