I was responsible for the delivery of complex solutions utilising multiple technologies from a variety of vendors. I was a member of the IBM Microsoft Practice, working as a Solutions Architect for a variety of commercial and public sector organisations. I was a Member of the IBM Architect Community and a major contributor to a number of working groups tasked with the development of the profession within IBM.Some of the highlights of my time in this position were:- the investigation and resolution of critical performance issues on the network infrastructure supporting the finance client's primary mortgage application, working closely with the Service Delivery team;- the design of enhancements and issue resolution for a related mortgage decision application for the same finance client, with particular responsibility for performance monitoring and infrastructure.

I was a certified IBM Server Specialist providing advice and quality assurance for IBM clients. I worked on-site with:- National Australia Group, designing and implementing a new mobile computing desktop platform for their team of mobile Financial Advisors;- the Scottish Office / Executive as a TDA, providing support for Windows Servers, Desktop Deployments and MS Management Tools.
