Mark is an accomplished Chairman and Company Director, with an outstanding record of significant achievement in non-executive and executive roles across both the private and public sectors. He has extensive skills and experience in strategic leadership, financial services, investment banking, corporate governance and organisational change. Current Chairman roles include:- Data#3 Limited-Sugar Terminals Limited; and- various Finance and Audit Committees. Other current Non-Executive Director roles include Queensland Urban Utilities; Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF), Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (Queensland group of companies); and Queensland Cricket. Previous Non-Executive Director roles include Airtrain Citylink Limited (Chairman); Oaks Hotels & Resorts Limited; Q-Pharm; Queensland Treasury Corporation; Griffith University; Presbyterian & Methodist Schools Association, Brisbane Boys’ College School Council (Chairman); and the Queensland Art Gallery.Mark has held Chief Executive roles with the Queensland Treasury Department; the Queensland Competition Authority; and the Queensland Independent Commission of Audit, as well as senior executive roles with Macquarie Group (Office Head, Queensland) and BDO (Executive Director).Mark graduated from University of Queensland in 1973 with First Class Honours in Economics, and received a Prime Minister’s Centenary Medal in 2003 for services to banking and finance. Mark was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Griffith University in 2018. He is an FAICD; a previous Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Queensland; and a member of Eagle Street Associates.
