Served for four years as the Deputy Chief, Tactical Exercise Division, United States Army South. Became the primary point of contact for the logistics, training planning and execution of joint/combined multinational exercises, focused in peacekeeping, humanitarian and tactical exercises in the Caribbean region, Central and South America. Also served as the Scenario Developer for all the Division exercises. Developed, coordinated, planed, and executed all United States Army south, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations exercises to include logistical requirements in multinational Command Post Exercises (CPXs), multinational Field Training Exercises (FTXs), multinational Staff Training Seminars, Planning Conferences. Conducted medium range planning for command, component commands, United Nations, governmental and private organizations, and multinational participation in joint/combined multinational exercises. Interacted foreign high ranking government officials and military officers to include generals, non-governmental, governmental and private agencies, and allied military forces representatives and other DoD components, as required. Required to conduct highly technical briefings in a wide variety of subjects dealing with United Nations Operations, specifically Peacekeeping, Humanitarian, Disaster Relief and Tactical multinational, joint/combined operations. Required to supervise over 35 personnel during Peacekeeping and Humanitarian exercises as well as three computer programmers and software designers to ensure coordination and integration between the scientist designing the simulation program and the military personnel executing and facilitating the utilization of the simulation software
