A strong background in Uniformed & Public Services. Where giving and service to others was paramount.Initially as a Signaller through to the rank of Sergeant, I had to mix and coordinate an array of personnel into teams and task completion. Training and development was an area where I was appointed too and where I felt most comfortable within. The pursuit of excellence is an inherent part of Military Forces mindset and outcomes. This paragraph nowhere near shows the level of skills, pressure, adaptability or resilience amassed.A varied employment portfolio: industrial rope access where air sealing, engineering inspections and geotechnical stabilisation were to the fore. Subsequently a short immersion in the asbestos industry, identifying, encapsulating and removing where necessary. Some of my roles were upon large scale sites and infrastructure like Nuclear Power Stations. As a Constable in South Yorkshire Police with the intention of further serving my community. The role was interesting to gain experience and carry out the role independently as a Beat Officer in the Barnsley district. The role taught me what, how and why the Police are not only needed but how they apply their skills and talents to deal with an ever changing crime landscape. An Operational Management role in a Manufacturing setting producing a consistent 30,000 sealed double glazed units per day. The drive within the business at that time was heavily QA, QI and PI focused to minimise rejections, increase efficiency and therefore increase to the bottom line. Toward the end of my time there the organisation was successfully sold to one of the most reputable glass leaders; Pilkington’s.I wanted to return to education and ensure I was current in my skills, upgrading my understanding of new and emerging concepts intending all along to return with my new skills to contribute to Industry once again. I went into teaching and mentoring across Charity, Further Education and Private Training settings. After this formal teaching and education foundation I switched my skills to the Outdoor education arena helping people raise their self esteem, build their confidences and abilities in less than the norm environments and settings. A fulfilling and satisfying role to help people succeed. The pandemic instigated a rethink, so I took the SIA DS course and entered the regulated security industry. My interest is in Risk Management.A broad base of relevant experience to signpost clients to making well reasoned decisions which will benefit them, their businesses and organisations.
