CalHOME 2020Recently Drafted and presented to Council for consideration: 1. Residential Incentive Program - A two year program temporarily reducing the City's Residential Impact Fees. 2. Industrial Incentive Program - The program reduces development costs based upon the number of jobs created. Worked with City Staff to overhaul the City's Building Permit Fee Structure. The previous building permit fee structure was last updated in 1999. The new building permit fee structure was redesigned into a tiered approached creating a more streamlined calculation process. -
Housing Program SupervisorCity Of Merced Jul 2014 - Sep 2019Some of my duties included negotiating contracts with non-profit organizations, developers, and outside vendors. In my last year with the City, I oversaw and managed an operating budget for the Housing Division of approximately $5 Million. Some of the larger multi-family projects at various capacities include: - Woodbridge Apartments (75 Units) - 2010 - Gateway Terrace Apartments (66 Units) - 2013 - Gateway Terrace II Apartments - (50 Units) – 2020 - Childs & B Street (Childs Court) Apartments (120 Units) – Secured over $20 Million in grants from various Federal, State and Local Agencies. The largest grant amount secured was a $14.5 Million grant from AHSC. Combined, these projects invested over $100 million in the community and approximately 311 new affordable housing units within the City of Merced. In addition to large multi-family projects, I managed the City’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program; which required purchasing, rehabilitating, and reselling over 40 single-family foreclosed properties for First Time Home Buyers. -
