Throughout my varied career, I have achieved many great things. Whether it is revolutionising processes for HMRC or HBOS, successfully bonding and teaching hundreds of students in China or raising thousands of pounds, support and awareness for charities; I have the utmost confidence that I can adapt to any situation and excel.I am a social climber heralding from a family of unskilled manual labourers. My success is down to my work ethic, which is to learn fast and work hard. I am happiest when I am positively contributing to whichever company employs me. Once I have established myself, I am always keen to use my initiative to help improve processes and assist colleagues. My approach to work and life has seen me experience many different fields of employment, and my skills are equally strong as they are varied. Furthermore, I am as comfortable working on my own as much as being part of a team. I seek challenging employment which compliments my skills and allows me to flourish.Ultimately, I know I would prove an asset for any company because of the many skills I possess, and abilities like hard-work, versatility, and intuition which come naturally to me.

I also used my initiative with contract hire extensions. This sub-department had been neglected, so I refiled the whole department, created a spreadsheet to chart application statuses and contacted each customer as to ascertain whether they would like to continue hiring their vehicle from the bank or return the vehicle. Beforehand, I had received telephone calls from customers complaining of bailiffs visiting their property to repossess their vehicle; therefore, similarly to my efforts with HMRC, I preempted receipt of customer complaints by gathering as much information as possible and contacting the customer first, which vastly improved efficiency and customer experience. A targeted position which required cross-analysis of importer background using existing government records, whereby all completed applications required processing within forty-eight hours of receipt. I radically improved many areas of the business, such as refiling six years of applications which were in a state of disarray after the department had moved offices beforehand, as well as contacting importers for further information if we received their incomplete application (Prior to this, the department would not contact importers for missing information, and the processing of their forms commenced once we received a completed form. This meant a high volume of phone calls received by our office which could have been avoided because the customer would need to provide information on their first call before getting their number on their second contact. My way preempted the first call so all calls received were only seeking their pseudo TURN numbers). The role was my first step into administration. Show less -

I believe I was responsible for our excellent store performance. Oswestry is a small market town and the location of the first Iceland Foods store ever to open. When I joined the company, there were two Iceland supermarkets operating in Oswestry, and I was employed at the smaller store. Despite not selling alcohol, appliances, nor having its own car park like the larger Iceland supermarket, the smaller store consistently out-performed its sister store in regards to food sales and customers. Six months after I left the company - due to a serious injury I encountered at the time - my former store closed, which is testament to the fantastic staff I'd built up and trained, as much as it was down my own efforts.
