Leicestershire County Council January 2022 to April 2022This is a role that requires the highest degree of precision when manoeuvring an 8 wheel 32 tonne Roro lorry in very small spaces and often small sites.A rewarding and sometimes physically demanding role where I have excelled and enjoyed the challenge.Driving a variety of vehicles including, DAF, Mercedes and Volvo.

Energas Ltd / Air Liquide - Leicester January 2019 to Present In this role, I have driven various vehicles from 18-26 tonne 16 metre class 2 HGV's delivering Commercial and Domestic gases of every kind including specialised gas mixes. Everything from butane and propane to high pressure gas mixes such as acetylene, hydrogen, nitrogen etc, in its various sizes from cylinders to packs of almost every type of gas. Delivering within a 100 mile radius to university's, hospitals, industrial and commercial premises as well as farms and homes. This is a physically demanding position that requires a high level of strength, concentration and driving ability due to the nature of the load and the sometimes less than ideal locations of drops. In this position I have won multiple awards/trophies for my driving as driver of the month consecutively for Leicester and Cambridge depots.

My role as a soldier in the British Army was a very active one that required a high level of discipline, integrity, courage and selfless commitment. Time management and appearance were also of top priority as well as the ability to work well off one's own initiative as well as part of a team. I firmly believe that these are the kind of qualities an employer looks for within a prospective candidate. I am a hard working individual with a positive attitude and great communication skills. Whilst serving in the armed forces, I traveled Europe and gained various qualifications in driving heavy goods vehicles. During my driving career, I have traversed mountain ranges, tank proving grounds and woodlands, forded lakes and rivers in a variety of conditions on every type of terrain by day and night. During my service I gained my Cat C, Cat C+E (Class 1&2) and ADR licenses.
