After 5 years in Shanghai at two international schools, I moved in August 2018 to a new position in a new country as the IB DP Coordinator at The American International School of Egypt (AISE) - West Campus in Cairo. My 'journey' as an international educator continues to excite and motivate me as did working and living in a part of the world that I had never been to before but always wanted to travel to - the Middle East. A very interesting 3 years as the IB DP Coordinator especially the last 2 years in with having to deal with the impact of COVID-19 on the IB Diploma Programme. In my final year at AISE, I was very fortunate to be voted onto the Executive Committee of the International Baccalaureate Schools in Egypt Association (IBSEA) with the role of Diploma Programme Advisor. The ongoing and worsening pandemic times let me know that it was time to go home and so I returned to Australia in June 2021. I took up a short term contract as the IB DP Coordinator at an IB Continuum School, Preshil, in Kew, Melbourne, State of Victoria, Australia from July 2021 to December 2021, due to the sudden and unexpected departure of its DP Coordinator in June 2021. In January 2022 I took up a role as an IB Diploma Programme Educator at Wyndham’s International High School (Werribee Secondary College) in Werribee, Melbourne, State of Victoria, Australia.In July 2023 I took up the role of Commerce Educator at another IB World School, Oakleigh Grammar, in Oakleigh, Melbourne, State of Victoria, Australia.In January 2024 I took up an Economics and Business 12 month contract role at a long established (1941) government high school, Camberwell High School, in Camberwell, Melbourne, State of Victoria, Australia.
