As Analytics Contracts Manager I worked closely with new customers during the pre-sales stage and responded to enquiries from their procurement, legal and data protection teams as they reviewed the standard terms and conditions of the Learning Analytics Service. Many queries related to our pricing, GDPR or liability.I also supported the service team to prepare for information security audits and ISO27001 certification.

I worked as a Co-Design Project Manager on the Learning Analytics Project during its R&D stage. This complex £multi-million project was set up to develop new digital services to improve student retention, attainment and academic progression at UK Universities and Colleges. The project involved analyzing and visualizing large sets of learning activity data so that tutors could be alerted to students who were at risk of dropping out of their studies or who may not be achieving their potential.

As the Resource Planning Co-ordinator I managed a team of two Resource Planning Assistants. We provided a central administrative service to the Conservation & Collections Management (CCM) Division. I managed the internal development and roll-out of IT solutions to support resource planning activities in the Division. I also worked with the Collections Management Programme to define requirements that were incorporated into the Museum’s Collections Management System.

Career break over the summer of 2006 to redecorate my house and research my next career move.

I line managed nine administrators and worked with the editorial team to deliver an innovative online submission and peer review system – known as Elsevier Editorial System (EES) – to replace a paper-based process at The Lancet group of journals.

I managed a team of three staff and oversaw the production of two surgical peer-reviewed journals (the College Annals and Bulletin) and other special publications and promotional projects.

I undertook freelance editorial projects, managed the acquisition of new business and worked on-site with clients.

I worked on many projects as part of the creative team and wrote the copy for newsletters, websites and brochures for clients such as BT and Barclays.

I managed the editorial production process for a wide range of special publication projects in collaboration with professional membership organizations.
