A hybrid Lead Procurement role responsible for Purchasing (Procure-to-Pay), Supply Excellence and Governance with a focus on digitization and automation to increase process efficiencies and accuracy through automation within SAP S/4 HANA and AribaPurchasing (Procure-to-Pay)Upskill and enable the P2P team to ensure timely Purchase Order conversion and expediting activities to support parts availability and DIFOT metrics. This role manages a team of five Supply Officers to deliver:•Timely conversion of Purchase Requisitions within 3 business days•Expediting activities to receive Order Confirmations to support site Parts Availability for critical spares, planned work and Capital Projects.•Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on all facets of supply, including Procurement framework, SAP training, Invoice and Credit reconciliation (GRIR).Systems (SAP S4/HANA)•Apply continuous improvement and innovation principles to constructively review processes and improvement suggestions.•Coach and support business process representatives in driving adoption of approved SAP processes and ensuring understanding and compliance to SAP principles.•Manage the Supply continuous Improvement register, and Supply SAC & Power BI dashboards.•Coordination through agreed SLT prioritization of SAP enhancements and projects.•Perform or document SAP training and knowledge transfer.Governance• Establish a supply Governance performance and monitoring program to efficiently analyse KPI data and recommend and drive initiatives or remediation actions to improve performance and compliance.• Review requirements from stakeholders and manage the vendor onboarding process.• Process mapping and documenting various supply roles.• Procurement key contact for the cross-functional Modern Slavery team.

Lead and execute Category Management activities in line with specified guidelines and business requirements to confirm surety of supply to mitigate supply risk for the business. Ensure the value of commercial contracts are maximised whilst supporting operational safety, volume and cost targets. Key activities as follows:• Developing and executing sourcing activities contributing to the Business/Sites/Local/Project Supply Sourcing Plan.• Commercial ownership of all spend for all areas of Stanmore• Planning and executing portfolio of sourcing projects enabling category strategies and managing on-time delivery minimising disruption to the business operations.• Executing local category strategies and contract coverage to support Operational Strategies and process automation.• Applying Category Management & Purchasing processes in alignment to design intent, local operating procedures, audit & Group Level obligations.• Collecting requirements and analyses of key data inputs from multiple sources (internal and external) to build robust category and sourcing strategies mid to long-term.• Validating application of procedures for issuing and evaluating tenders.• Leading commercial negotiations with Suppliers, review contract award recommendations and contracts for approval and resolve supplier performance or contract issues.

Responsible for partnering with our Olympic Dam mining operation and our global Warehousing, Inventory & Logistics function to deliver value to the front line. Responsible for driving best practice Inventory principles to support daily operations for both OD Surface and Mine End. Supported a cross functional team throughout the Smelter Campaign Shutdown (SCM21).Success in the role looks like: • Improving collaboration and connectivity between the centralised and regional Inventory teams, Operational stakeholders and vendors. • Identifying opportunities to improve Parts Availability and Working Capital through engagement of key stakeholders and monitoring of critical business metrics. • Leads and participates in projects and acts as change agents within the region. • Ability to work autonomously as part of a team that is geographically disperse. • Ability to systematically work through complex problems.

Responsible for delivering simultaneous Procurement Operations lead improvement initiatives supporting process automation, data accuracy and cost savings. Act as the focal point for the Business Partnership team for escalations and connectivity for the Procurement Operations function. Key SME and contact point for Minerals Australia Procurement supporting Covid-19 Emergency Management Team to ensure health & safety for our team, without impacting production.

Responsible for Procure to Pay processes of three regional Purchasing teams throughout our three-year global transformation phase in a SAP ECC6 environment. Upskilling and enabling 27 direct reports through routine one on one sessions, daily analytics insights and process improvements, whilst ensuring we operate in line with our charter values.Regional High-Value Sourcing team (Coal)• Lead a team of specialists that strategically source off-contract goods/materials >US$5,000 and services >US$50,000.• Engage with relevant Value Chain team members for contract amendments.• Facilitate Urgent Payment Requests and conduct root cause analysis to mitigate reoccurrence.• Upskill our change management champions/subject matter experts to provide job shadowing and knowledge transfer to our global team.Repairs and Service Exchange team (Coal)• Worked closely with Maintenance Engineering Centre of Excellence to provide guidance on the Ariba Strip & Quote application and revised Service Exchange system process.• Achieved time saving benefits by owning ~30 outline agreements within Coal for Repairs and Service Exchange, with the addition of ~1500 materials across Minerals Australia.• Purchasing contributed AU$256 Million of on Contract spend across Mobile Repairable, Fixed Plant Repairable and Service Exchange in FY20.• Performed the role of a reviewer of Repair and Service Exchange global QRG and WIN creation to facilitate our transition.Urgent Freight Team (Minerals Australia)• Provided our operations 24/7 Purchasing support for Urgent Freight, with 1200 urgent freight cases recorded on average each month.• Facilitated the standardisation and migration of our Case Management System to Microsoft Dynamics 365.• Performed the role of a reviewer of Urgent Freight Quick Reference Guides and Work Instruction creation to facilitate our transition.• Delivered training and ongoing support to our Manila Urgent Freight team by WebEx.
