Merchandising Program Manager
Current• The Merchandising Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for the planning and oversight of 4-6 Merchandising Project Managers leading ~200 projects at ~$250M of expenditure annually. The MPM supports the deployment of a full Merchandising Business Area’s go-to-market strategy by supporting each Merch Division’s vision, identifying project scope, developing timelines, providing status reporting, leading risk mitigation and prioritizing the day-to-day tasks of an internal CSC team of ~10 other functions. • In the last 16 months, since MPM role establishment, Lowe’s on-time-delivery rate has increased from 27% (internal audit finding) to >80% and we executed our project portfolio within AOP targets. • Merchandising projects supports the market introduction of new products and selling material empowering our store associates to drive incremental sales and margin.• The MPM is responsible for resource capacity reallocation as necessary to ensure the assigned project portfolio is delivering on defined scope, timeline and budget. Budgets are allocated to appropriate SVPs and this role will be a key point person for them on understanding the performance of their portfolio of projects. This may require the MPM to also function as a Project Manager during peak demand.• The MPM engages resources at all levels both inside and outside of Merch Ops organization to assist the Project Manager to drive successful delivery of all work streams within their assigned team. This position ensures Merch Ops, Functional and Shared Services alignment within in their assigned programs (e.g., Merchandising, IT, HR, FP&A, Store Environment Experience Planning, collateral production, and deployment, etc.).
