Developed a Business Continuity Plan, and a Succession Plan for key manufacturing positions.Achieved the highest percentage replacement of purchased growth substrate with secondary products, including off-spec confectionaries and soft drinks, of any of the parent company’s regional Business Units.

Obtained Title V Air Operating Permits for three factories, and brought all three into compliance with OSHA’s Process Safety Management and USEPA’s Risk Management Planning standards.Managed all environment, health and safety aspects of two plant closures, including soil, groundwater, and asbestos remediation projects. Negotiated the sale of a California property for over US$5M.

Managed all environmental aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transfers, including the US$700M merger of Petrolite into Baker-Hughes, Inc. in 1997, and a US$35M acquisition from Amoco Chemicals in 1995.
