Solutions Engineer
CurrentPerform data migrations of customers data from their source locations to a final destination. During this process, help to clean, organize, and modify the data to get their data in the system as the customer desires.Create custom toolsets and utilities for customers to add automation to their specific processes.- Migrate customer’s data from their current source location into SolidWorks PDM (Vault software)-- Performing data migrations on a customer’s system within a process-- Migrations were typically after-hours- Manage customer expectations during length of projects- Deploy data migrations in a timely manner that suits the customer’s needs vs. all other customers- Constant communication with customer giving them:-- Status of their projects-- Advise on how to configure their system to maintain or improve on existing processes/procedures-- Helping to make procedure adjustments that allow for a more streamlined and efficient process- Conduct training for the customer to ensure they know how to properly utilize their data pre and post-migration- Create custom toolsets for customers with specific needs utilizing Microsoft C# and the SolidWorks API- Maintain toolsets that I created for customers- Manage several IT systems in order to manage products and data migrations- Working with database systems/designs in Microsoft SQL (utilizing TSQL language)
