I am recognised as being an exceptionally effective leader and versatile practitioner who leads by example. With over twenty years’ experience overseeing the development and delivery of IT strategies, as well as designing technical architecture and directing information security, predominantly in the insurance and personal pension sectors. I oversee service transformation through various methodologies; and deliver performance enhancement, overhaul systems and processes and lead teams to ensure IT governance and security requirements are met. Using personal creativity, leadership and collaborative skills, I engage with peer groups and internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals, while also being able to take tough decisions when required. In my current role, I direct the implementation of IT strategy, Disaster Recovery strategy and Business Continuity Management, and data governance. I am particularly proud of having delivered 99.95% business availability through a new target operating system, as well as overseeing the required rebranding, and associated IT changes, through organisational evolution. I see myself as a confident and supportive leader who is able to influence and work with others in order to define and deliver shared goals, solve problems thoughtfully and innovatively, and successfully address challenging situations, targets and timescales. My career goal for the future is to explore new challenges, and to take on a position that will best utilise the strengths and abilities that I have developed throughout my career to date; one that will provide additional opportunities for leadership development as well as personal and professional growth.
