• Manager of Company BOM ,sales order configuration and schedule generation process - ensuring that all elements work in a consistent manner• Managing a team of 2 BOM analysts – responsible for configuring the BOM through the translation of Engineering change documentation into effective BOM structures – resulting in the correct parts being attracted to the correct vehicles in the correct quantities. • Defining the framework within which the multiple level modular BOM operates ( range detail sheets, features, options and kits )• Interfacing with Sales, Marketing and Logistics and maintaining a number of databases which ensure that the Sales input, BOM and Logistics/Supplier schedule processes work towards a common goal.• Validation of BOM output, and reporting on such things as BOM accuracy and loading / configuration progress against ETRS ( Engineering Timing & Release Schedule )• Solely responsible for all aspects of CAD support for CATIA V4 / V5 / 3DCOM / ENOVIA VPM – including, but not limited to, operating system, software, hardware, installation, networking, user support, scripting, backup ( using Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) ), maintenance contracts, data transfer and troubleshooting. Supporting a user base of 30 CAD seats.• Continually striving to automate processes and removing non-value added activities within both my own sphere of responsibility and that of others ( e.g. : development and introduction of Lotus Notes based workflow for engineering change control, SVO Order tracking, and many more )• Responsible for the successful implementation of CAD data transfer applications and 3DCOM ( remote CAD visualisation tool used for design collaboration over the Internet )• Instrumental in the development of in-house PLM type system ( “GPAD” - based around Lotus Notes / SQL Server technologies )
