Responsible for studies, managing engineers to prepare design-bid-build contracts, bridging documents for design-build packages, as well as taking the project through construction, testing, commissioning and orchestrating complex shutdowns in the heart of LAX, resulting in high client satisfaction. The design-build package was the first design-build package for the Los Angeles World Airports. The CUP Budget was ~$500M with the CUP Electrical Budget of ~$150M. - The new CUP has a maximum cooling capacity of ~20,000 tons and a maximum heating capacity of ~70,000 MBH. The electrical scope included four DWP Industrial Stations and two 10 MVA temporary Mobile Substations, feeding three 4160 V services. The electrical scope also included two cogeneration units utilizing Combustion Turbine Generators (CTG) which will produce approximately 8.8 MW of electric power through two sets of 4160 V paralleling switchgear. - Served as Project Manager for the only CUP enabling project, the $10M Temporary Power and Associated Relocations (TPAR) project. In the footprint of the new CUP was the main electrical system for the old existing CUP, which included the main LADWP Industrial Station, three electrical services and distribution equipment along with the emergency generator. - This project won the ENR California 2015 Best Energy/Industrial Project Award. - This project also won a DBIA WPR (Design-Build Institute of America-Western Pacific Region) 2016 Design-Build Award. - Provided at LAX in ADG, Electrical Task Force leadership, Department of Water and Power coordination, Network Station Conceptual Design assistance, Bradley West Conceptual Design assistance, High Voltage Design Standards management and Electrical Utility Master Plan reviews. -
