I'm a driven strategic innovator, thought leader who has recruited and developed strong leadership teams delivering industry leading technology and results. I executed an MBO; a sale and integration to a Fortune 500 company whilst maintaining growth and increasing profitability.My initial roles were in product development after which I started an office and then manufacturing facility from the ground up in the US, returning to the UK to become the Managing Director and CTO of the overall structure. Later executing an MBO and sale to Cameron. During my tenure I grew the business from $2m to $45m by a careful understanding of the market opportunities, and developing an outstanding team, products and systems to capitalise on them. Our company rose to command over 60% market share in the niche area of Crude Oil quality measurement at a 28 % EBIT working globally.With 80 employees, I found that we were often in the forefront of adopting technologies both within our product offerings market approach and internal systems/processes (ERP, MIS, CRM, IiP).We learned much from implementing "Investor in People" towards goal setting, motivation and discipline. I enjoyed a hands on approach and developed industry recognition through participation in both national and international industry bodies (EI, ISO, API, IBIA, SPE) and presenting a multitude of papers at conferences and within industry forae in Hydrocarbon Sampling (Crude Oil, Gas, Multiphase).With a strong interest in education and I am a member of the Industry Advisory Board for Queen Mary University, London and a Center for Doctoral Training at Imperial College, London. I am also a School Governor and Pension Trustee for Cameron, a Schlumberger Company.
