In my professional and social settings, I have accumulated experiences from a range of different roles, from working as a delivery driver, golf course worker, to the Captain of my high school lacrosse team. These roles allowed me to hone my skills as a communicator, problem solver, and as a teammate, which will allow me to excel in a variety of settings in the future. As a delivery driver, I learned about accountability, complicated time schedules, and the importance of service to the customer. A harsh delivery window required me to be efficient and consistent, and a high emphasis on service in the industry sharpened my attention to detail so that I could focus more on the customer. I took great pride in delivering on time, with a correct order every time, and it was this pride in my work that allowed me to grow. As a lacrosse team Captain, I developed incredible leadership skills that can be applied on and off the field. As a leader, I learned how to motivate and inspire my teammates through both my words and actions. Due to my position as a starting senior, I was incredibly important to my team, and I used my actions on and off the field to help demonstrate leadership. Whether it be showing up 15 minutes early to practice to warmup or staying late to clean the field, I wanted to leave a lasting impact on all my teammates to display a hardworking attitude. I also further developed my communication skills, serving as a liaison between my coaches and the team, I echoed practice schedules, game times, jersey colors, and more to the team throughout the season. In my role as a maintenance worker, I gained an appreciation for the importance of attention to detail and quality of work. Tightly maintained rough, and pristinely kept greens helped further grow my appreciation for well done work.Overall, my diverse working background and dedication to the work I participate in makes me a valuable asset in any team environment. I am eager to continue to develop my professional skills in new environments, and continuing to explore new opportunities.
