Working for one of the leading stainless steel fabrication specialists whose reputation for quality and excellence in the manufacture of stainless steel, nickel alloy and aluminium products is reflected in our client portfolio and spans many different industries, such as architectural, waste water treatment, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, cosmetics, brewery, food and drink processing and off shore petroleum. My role is to be the first point of contact with our customers & liaise with them to understand & achieve their requirements using various forms of communication including: CAD drawings, solid works models, pdf's, hand drawings, etc. From these I then produce a detailed quotation, obtaining material prices from multiple suppliers & working with production to create a schedule of work. I have maintained a strong on going customer base along with adding numerous new customers to our portfolio with my continued commitment to customer satisfaction.

Project Manager/Planning Facilitator on a multi-national programme to devolop new products & NPI processes for a new facility in China. I maintain & develop the programme master control plan to ensure the programme delivers to time, cost & quality targets. I facilitate sessions with multifunctional teams in the UK & guide the China based planning facilitator to develope the plan for the China teams. All activities are reviewed on a bi-weekly cycle, so we can see any slippages & proactively develop plans to maintain targets. I run a fortnightly control meeting to see the impacts of any slippages on the gateways/milestones with the programme team. From the control meeting we raise the actions required to compress the plan to meet the business goals & I set up sessions to compress the timings as required.

Worked closely with the aftermarket team in Irlam to ensure we maintain stock levels for the aftermarket requirements. Achieved a schedule adherence of over 95% to the aftermarket facility, while maintaining production stock levels. Raising orders using a configuration tool for customer engines to the value of over £100 million a year. Successfully worked on a DMEDI project to implement a new EDI (Electronic Data Interface) system to raise customer orders.

Ran a team of over 20 people on the production line, while maintaining production targets, quality targets & safety metrics. Worked to continuously improve the manufacturing processes & build team skills & engagement. Conducted monthly reviews & performance development plans for all permanent team members. Developed graphs & metrics to track quality & velocity goals, & used these to target key area's for improvement. Passed my NVQ level 3 in Business Improvement Techniques. Significant team member of a DMAIC project to re-design the production facility from 2 production lines (tracks) into 1 line. Implementing process improvements & reducing waste for all operations in the production process.
