Life Writing TutorLove Of Lifelong Learning Programme Oct 2021 - Aug 2023- I’m currently teaching an 8-week module course in Life Writing as part of DCU’sLove of Lifelong Learning Programme, the purpose of which is to facilitate theparticipation of non-traditional students in university modules in a campus setting.- The purpose of the Life Writing module is to encourage students to reflect on theirlives and to learn how to write autobiographical stories in a variety of differentliterary forms.- The module focuses on autobiography, memoir, autofiction, poetry, essay writing and biography. It also considers relevant interdisciplinary studies such as neuroscience, psychology, ethnography, linguistics, philosophy, photography, music and art. As well as teaching the students, I encourage them to engage in reading and writingexercises and provide encouragement and extensive feedback for their original piecesof life writing.- Additionally, I offer assistance in the form of editing support and long term strategiesto enable the continuation and future publication of their writing.
