I am involved in construction of driveways, patios, walls, fencing, land drains etc in the Cheshire area. The role has involved a variety of things including; • Use of various equipment (excavators, dumpers, angle grinders, breaking equipment etc)• Liaising with customers to determine their needs• Working alone and as part of a team. • I am also required to do IT work preparing information for the accountants.

Grontmij are a multi national civil engineering company, I was employed at their Warrington office for 18 months before being made redundant. During my time with the company I was involved in several different projects for United Utilities including;• Flood alleviation Designs.• Computerised sewer model production & maintenance for several areas including Runcorn and Alsager.• Surveys of all known flooding sites in the United Utilities area, which involved working in a team interviewing thousands of households all across the north west as well as the computer mapping of the collected information. Whilst working for Grontmij, I was also contracted out to work at the United Utilities Head Office in Warrington due to my involvement in the flooding surveys, the work involved • Computer mapping of flood surveys• Database and spreadsheet management• Telephone auditing of surveys
