Program Manager, Transportation Planning And Research
CurrentManaging a team of transportation planners responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Transportation Master Plan and transportation sections of the Development Charges Bylaw and Regional Official Plan to meet current and future needs of the Region in an affordable and sustainable manner. Liaises with internal stakeholders in departmental review, assessment and response to provincial policy changes to Transportation Services that impact Region, such as Provincial Policy Statements, Growth Plan, Greenbelt Act, Oak Ridges Moraine Act, EBR postings, 2041 Regional Transportation Plan, Greater Golden Horseshoe Transportation Master Plan to against the Region’s Strategic Vision and Official Plans and preparing responses to address transportation impacts. Responsible for researching, developing, and implementing strategies and policies to support advanced transportation technologies such as connected and autonomous vehicles, mobility as a service, and leading the departmental understanding and implementation of Transportation Equity.
