Following a number of changes to scope and programme the role of design manager was allocated. Duties involved undertaking gap analysis of the existing design work undertaken to resolve any issues whilst delivering to the agreed programme. Tasked with providing the client a comprehensive design works brief to be utilised within their contract tender documentation for the next detail design and construction phase. Technical Track Lead, North Strathfield Rail Underpass (2012-2013), New South Wales, Australia, Transport Projects Division. Technical Track Lead within the Design Joint Venture. Responsibilities included population of work brief and technical plan, quality assurance, safety and risk management, program delivery, systems interface design checks, scope management, interfacing with the client assurance engineers and stakeholders for all elements of track work. In essence I was responsible for a significant proportion of work, which facilitated the successful delivery of track renewal items from feasibility through to site hand back. Selected for involvement in The MAVAIR project (Manchester Victoria Area Infrastructure Renewal), gaining valuable experience in the planning and completion of a large-scale multi disciplinary project, including extensive PWAY, Civil, Construction, Power, Overhead Line and Signal & Telecoms work. Also extensively involved with the building up, installing and tamping of Switch and Crossing layouts.
