Support several space mission and instrument efforts from proposal through delivery with the Safety and Mission Assurance Group

-Skilled in hardware inspection of various types of commodities from components to spacecraft instrumentation.-Reviews and provides consultation and comments to test plans, test procedures for a wide range of complex hardware and test configurations.-Oversees the performance of highly complex environmental tests of hardware sub-assemblies.-Applies extensive understanding and wide application in field to assure critical test parameters (test chamber verification, hardware configurations, connector types, test plan checklist, etc). -Applies advanced knowledge in field to ensure test procedures and travelers are followed and applies judgment of parts integration during fabrication and integration and test (I&T).-JPL QA resident at University of Iowa for JUICE RIME project. This was a NASA funded task to spread awareness of the growing risk of counterfeit parts in the supply chain through training and to explore new technology for the detection of counterfeit parts.Other responsibilities included but were not limited to:• JPL subject matter expert on counterfeit parts• Training and coordination of activities with personnel at NASA centers, NASA suppliers, Contractor Affiliates, Federal agencies and the Space and Defense community nationwide• Collaborated with NASA Safety Center to create online version of Counterfeit training hosted in NASA Satern • Reestablished and led Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Working Group within JPL, this team was tasked with improving JPL counterfeit mitigation procedures, heading investigations into the presence of suspect parts, updating internal documentation, implement inspection and testing within JPL to detect counterfeit electronic parts

•QA focal for outsourcing where I managed quality portion of task from quote to delivery for EM and flight hardware. Also involved in source inspection, corrective action board, risk management, and discrepancy investigations for outsourcing•Created four new inspection plans to provide a consistency among inspectors and engineers•Trained new hires for electronic fabrication area•Member of OneQA-team responsible for reviewing proposed inspection plans prior to rollout

• Trained in curatorial skills & archiving of museum specimens. • Trained in identification of terrestrial arthropods (Insecta), to the order taxonomic level, throughout the Los Angeles Basin area as part of the BioSCAN Project• Used microscopy to observe intraspecific variation from specimens in the ostracod genus Skogsbergia found throughout the Caribbean. • Contributed to 18S and 28S phylogenetic research of asellotan isopods in Australia by assembly & editing of DNA sequences.• Trained in identification of marine crustaceans and polychaete worms, to the family taxonomic level, in the California Bight & Sweden using light microscopy. • Assisted Collections Managers with organizing wet preserved and dry specimens, specimen reshelving, specimen stabilization.• Trained in pre-sequencing process for genome individual libraries for Illumina (NGS) at USC (UPC Genome & Cytometry Core)
