CurrentFor over 32 years, my legal practice has primarily involved bankruptcy, commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, and insurance claims and coverage litigation in the federal and state courts.I generally represent insurance companies, banks, equipment lessors, finance companies, landlords and trade creditors in bankruptcy matters in connection with issues related to the automatic stay, adequate protection, cash collateral stipulations, DIP financing, executory contracts, secured and unsecured claim objections, avoidance actions and contested plan confirmations. I have also represented debtors, creditors’ committees and post-confirmation litigation trusts.I have developed a specialty representing insurers in coverage and claims related disputes in the bankruptcy courts, including bankruptcy cases involving mass tort (e.g., asbestos), environmental and directors and officers liabilities. I also represent insurers as traditional creditors in all courts with respect to the collection of premiums, SIRs and large loss deductibles, and the defense of preferential transfer and fraudulent conveyance actions. I have represented these clients in many large, complex bankruptcy cases venued across the country.Further, I frequently represent defendants in large fraudulent conveyance actions such as the recent LBO litigations and various ponzi scheme litigations. My state and (non-bankruptcy) federal court litigation practice has generally concentrated in the areas of defending consumer class action claims, attorney malpractice claims and the prosecution of large premium collection actions.
