  Give second level technical support to Field Service Engineers when customer problems have reached an appropriate escalation point or if they simply need technical advice, this support can be provided over the telephone or by personal visit.Provide parts identification for Leica Field Service Engineers, Customer Care, Sales Representatives & Customers.Train The Trainer in Leica Microsystems product range and be certified by the responsible BU to give such training in the EU and take a Danaher TFTI training course. Carry out Field Service Engineer training as required to develop skills and the knowledge within Field Service Engineers responsible for product range. Help to manage maintenance protocols, technical service bulletins and associated upgrades together with BU and Line manager.Ensure that all customer complaints are frequently reviewed and escalated accordingly if required, help to monitor Hotsite escalations together with EU Service Management.Provide reporting / information to the EU Service Manager as required.Advise on training requirements for field engineers and monitor skill levels in order to ensure their up-to-date knowledge on products and processesAssist manning a Technical Helpdesk to triage customers calls, to determine if an engineer’s visit is required, what parts are required, or talk customer through a phone fix.
