I have worn one of two different hats. Primarily, I've been a financial leader/analyst, mainly in the health care sector, specializing in producing easy-to-understand financial and statistical reports and budgets; producing concise cost/benefit projections and analyses; leading a productive and loyal finance team; and exceeding the information needs of senior management on a consistent basis.Second, I've been a health care administrator specializing in putting operational logistics and financial reporting in place in support of a clinical program, especially new initiatives. Put another way, I have helped make someone's vision a reality by taking a task and running with it.My can-do, will-do attitude has been demonstrated throughout my career:--I implemented multiple efficiency improvements within the financial operations of a regional not-for-profit focused on providing affordable housing for low-to-moderate income residents, e.g., simpler chart of accounts structure; standardized, automated timesheets; standardized monthly closing schedule; more organized and understandable budget process that involved operational managers; etc.--I was a key member of the senior leadership team that contributed to a stellar Federal operational site visit for a new Federally Qualified Health Center, i.e., 18 of the 19 program requirements were met, something almost unheard of for a brand new FQHC!--I was the main facilitator in coordinating the efforts of multiple departments to start the bariatric surgery program within our hospital.--I was the primary departmental representative involved in increasing our non-physician provider staff by more than 30% in less than one year and in doubling the coverage of our surgical hospitalist service.--I developed the financial, incentive-based reporting structure to support a three-fold growth in a four-year period of our employed medical groups.--And more!
