By formal training I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and engaged in private practice and teaching in the graduate program at National Louis University. In 2005 I became inspired to help Italy out of concern over its zero-birth rate and struggling economy at the time. Raised in a bilingual-cultural family I decided to acquire my Italian citizenship by descent so as to add to the Italian population and contribute to Italy's economy through frequent travel and the eventual purchase of property. Having surmounted hurdles within the Italian bureaucratic system to acquire my citizenship, I felt led to help other Italian Americans obtain dual citizenship obtain Italian citizenship by descent and started the company, Bridging Worlds, LLC, d.b.a Italian Citizenship Assistance Program. As the team grew from 2 to 17 people, I transitioned from my private practice as a psychologist to full-time management of Bridging Worlds, LLC in my role as Chief Executive Officer. I am fluent in Italian and obtained the CILS-Certficazione in Italiano come Lingua Stranieri (Certification in Italian as a Foreign Language) by the University of Siena. I have developed collaborative working relationships with Italian and US attorneys as well as Municipalities throughout Italy to expand fulfill our company fulfill the vision of offering Italian Americans the opportunity to reap the benefits of Italian citizenship, and to bring back people of Italian descent to Italy and to make positive contributions to the Country.
