As the Associate Director of Security & Emergency Preparedness at Broad, I lead the development and implementation of robust security program to protect our community. With a focus on leveraging advanced security technology and training, I ensure our assets are safeguarded against threats.In addition to overseeing security operations, I am responsible for the development, implementation, training and ongoing improvements of Broad's Emergency Response Plan, direct critical incident responses, and lead the Workplace Violence Prevention Program. As the Manager of Integrated Security Systems I served as the functional leader at Broad Institute, responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the physical security program and security system technology.

In my current role as The Senior Manager of Security and functional leader at Broad Institute—a leading medical research organization—I am responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the physical security program and security system technology. The expansive campus is comprised of 6K employees, a museum, and over 1 million square feet of office and research space.

My role as Security Officer for this urban healthcare organization included providing security services, managing hospital access control systems, and operating video surveillance systems.

The establishment of Lawn Choppers Landscaping is further indication of my ability to identify a need, problem, or opportunity. It also demonstrates my capacity for devising and implementing effective solutions for solving problems. As proprietor, I oversaw all daily operations including marketing, sales, planning, purchasing, recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision. I developed solid relationships with customers and key partnerships with vendors and local businesses. After six years, I sold this enterprise which I built into a successful and profitable small business with six full-time employees and 36 customers.

As Guard and Supervisor, I managed all aspects of security for a youth detention center. My responsibilities included the supervision of six youth advocates and 27 residents, as well as providing consultation to staff on proper security and safety procedures. I conducted indepth investigations of incidents that occurred within the detention facility and gave oral testimony at court hearings, as necessary. During my time at Goss Secure Detention Program, I also had the opportunity of assisting with the rehabilitation of the youth within the program and specialized in crisis prevention and intervention.
