• Data Architect for ASU Library and head of Library Analytics.• Leader of a small team with a big impact on all aspects of data-informed decision making at ASU Library.• Responsible for creating numerous auto-updating data visualizations that touch on all services and departments within the Library. This involves all aspects of data life-cycle including requirements gathering, database design, and custom ETL (extract, transform, load using Node.js, AWS, SQL, Alteryx), and involves working with many partners across the library and university. • Developed and implemented "By the Numbers." See: lib.asu.edu/about/numbers.• Designed and implemented a custom web application gathering annual summary statistics from across the library and university that are required by state and federal agencies (my team is also responsible for the reports themselves).• Co-organized and presented a three-part webinar series discussion panel hosted by the Library Leadership & Management Association (LLAMA), a division of the American Library Association.

• Lead developer of innovative solutions to facilitate the discovery of ASU Library online resources. This is the main portal that all ASU users (more than 100k) depend upon daily for their courses and research.• Full-stack software development with responsibility for all aspects of the software lifecycle including gathering and writing requirements, designing system architecture, and writing, maintaining, troubleshooting and documenting code.

• Head of software development at the Global Security Initiative (GSI). GSI is an interdisciplinary research initiative within the Knowledge Enterprise at ASU.• Designed, implemented, and tested a scalable platform for automated data collection and analysis for the Foresight Initiative. System was able to process > 1 million tweets and news articles per day with automated entity extraction, keyword matching and content near-de-duplication.

• Lead software developer for GeoDa, a highly interactive, visual, easy-to-use yet powerful, software program for spatial data analysis and exploration. • Designed, implemented, and supported novel graphical user interfaces and algorithms for spatiotemporal data exploration and statistical analysis.• Refactored a multi-platform C++ code-base while supporting a growing user base of more than 100k.• GeoDa Center moved to Chicago in 2016 and is now the Center for Spatial Data Science at the University of Chicago.

• Combination role of software developer and sales engineer for Autonomy's meaning-based search software platform.• Co-developer of a web-based legal investigation/discovery application which enables easy ingestion and analysis of data from a wide variety of databases and other sources. Key contributor in a four-person team on a successful 20 million dollar deal.
