I joined Serica Energy after they completed the transition of the Bruce platform from BP on the 30th November 2018. I currently remain on the Bruce platform as an experienced core crew member and part of the Maintenance department.

I began employment with BP as an Instrument Technician on the Bruce platform in September 2012 after completing my apprenticeship. I worked offshore in a core crew position as a member of a highly skilled multi-discipline maintenance team.

Jewel And Esk Valley College / Ravenspurn North Platform

I enrolled on the OPITO Modern Apprenticeship Scheme in 2008. During the first two years of the apprenticeship I gained various qualifications at Jewel and Esk Valley College in Edinburgh.After completing the two years onshore training, I began working on the Ravenspurn North platform in the Southern Gas Asset of the North Sea which was operated by BP. I worked offshore in a core crew position as a member of a highly skilled multidiscipline maintenance team.On completion of my apprenticeship I was offered a role in the BP Designate scheme as an Instrument Technician on the Bruce platform.
