Working with and supporting the Captain alongside a large and complex team consisting of many different roles (e.g. ground crew, cabin crew) to deliver safe, efficient and punctual operations throughout Europe.Main Responsibilities• Building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure safe and successful operations. • Liaising with multiple stakeholders requiring capacity to simplify complex situations while maintaining the ‘big picture’.• Responsible for all pre-flight planning, requiring sound judgment and attention to detail. This includes constant reappraisal of weather patterns as they occur on the flight path, ensuring the aircraft is serviceable (collaboration with ground engineers), making sure passengers’ welfare is maintained and boarding is conducted in a safe manner. • Keeping current with all documentation, rules and regulations in relation to airport facilities. This includes runway lighting, navigation equipment, passenger handling facilities, refuelling capability and engineering availability. • Managing in flight operations and tasks. This includes ensuring compliance with flying regulations both within the UK and abroad, maintaining optimum navigation of the aircraft to safeguard efficiencies and cost saving, communications with air traffic control throughout the flight, and delivering excellent customer service to passengers. • Managing the post flight tasks. This includes an inspection of the aircraft post landing, reporting any technical abnormalities to engineers, safe disembarking of passengers and deliver a thorough debrief of the crew to facilitate learning and development.
