Responsible for the safety of Chevron's employees, contractual workforce, and the community. Audit facility changes related to new and/or upgrades to equipment for compliance with the Safety In Designs Standard and OSHA Regulations. Facilitate company policy reviews and modifications to incorporate industry best practices and changes to company policies and procedures. Conduct Safe Work Practices (SWP) audits on the contractual workforce for compliance with Chevron’s Refinery Instructions and OSHA Regulations. Serve as a Safety Resources to the refinery during day-to-day operations and provide air monitoring for the refinery and community during unusual or emergency situations.

Responsible for the protection of Chevron’s employees and assets, community, and the environment by serving as the Incident Commander during all emergency situations. Interact with outside agencies to promote relationships that demonstrate Chevron’s commitment to the protection of the community and environment. Manage and steward the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during emergency responses, training, career development, and being fit for duty. Serve as the Alternate Facility Security Officer (ASFO) and a resource for operations and maintenance on the permit to work process.

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of catalyst reformation units, sulfuric alkylation units, and hydrocracking units. Facilitated the planning and release of equipment for repair. Served as a resources for DE on process/equipment modifications. Facilitated unit turnarounds. Develop/update training manuals, job aids, and process procedures. Mentored new operations personnel.
