Manage a team of engineers accountable to deliver sourcing solutions for custom plastic and sheet metal commodities used in HP printing devices. Our team collaborates with multiple R&D teams within the US and with internal partners around the globe. In addition we draw upon a global supply base of tool makers, suppliers and Manufacturing Partners within the EMS industry to deliver on Cost, Quality and AOS requirement while maintaining overall tooling budget and supply base compliance to HP's rigorous Social and Environmental Responsibility requirements.My team also is accountable for all resins used in Print Hardware as well as the recycled resins used in Personal Systems. We work closely with our supply base to develop new solutions to meet the needs of our product development teams, while ensure we hit our cost and overall sustainability goals. We manage costs, quality and ensure supply of resins across various product categories within HP.

As a program manager within HP's Printers and Personal Systems Procurement organization, I lead overall planning and execution of developing capacity needs for commodities required in the production of high volume consumer products. This includes developing and managing expectations with some of HP's key Manufacturing Partners (MPa's), driving overall schedules for both proto and production tooling, driving towards rapid resolution of part quality issues with MPa's and key suppliers, and providing leadership to coordinate capacity planning and aligning overall demand needs from multiple programs on concurrent schedules. I am also providing leadership to align overall sourcing plans with internal HP partners from multiple R&D organizations spanning multiple business groups, Central Direct Procurement and Services and multiple NPI Operations groups.

As a senior member of an R&D team developing high volume consumer products within HP's Printing and Personal Systems group, I was accountable for overall Product Integration and Product Design for multiple award winning products that became the highest volume SKU's that HP shipped in their categories. This included working within the product architecture team to develop an integrated system that best matched program goals for cost, performance, reliability, ease of use, and Industrial Design goals. During this time, I helped create and execute an architecture development model that enables rapid iterations and holistic evaluation of overall systems by modeling complete scenarios of different solutions optimized around different constraints. This development model enabled the team to make rationale tradeoffs between various parameters including cost, performance, ease of use, overall product size, and time to market.In this role I also led the delivery of hardware designs for multiple subsystems on schedule with the help of both HP internal and external contract design engineers.

As a Product Integration Engineer on multiple programs I was responsible for coordinating integration efforts across multiple subsystems, leading prototype builds at multiple contract manufacturers, leading evaluation of overall system performance and coordinating R&D efforts to ensure successful handoff to manufacturing.

As a member of the R&D team I was responsible for design and validation for multiple parts used in high volume production products. The parts I designed spanned multiple technologies including injection molded plastics, sheet metal stamping, four slide parts, die cut foam, powdered metal, adhesive labels, turned shafts and elastomers.

I worked closely with R&D teams to help maximize overall design margin for both component/part level designs as well as system level performance specifications.

Responsible for developing and managing the installation of high volume assembly automation used in consumer electronic manufacturing. This included working closely with automation integration suppliers to co-develop solutions using multiple technologies to ensure we met program objectives of cost, performance, and overall quality.

Worked as the primary production engineer for two assembly automation lines that worked on a 24/7 schedule to produce a capacity of over 400k printer mechanisms per month. As the only production enginner in the organization that spanned 5 shifts and included both machine attendents and technicians, I provided technical leadership for multiple cross functional groups tasked with various continuous improvement projects.

Led development of multiple manual and semi-automated processes used in the manufacturing and assembly of consumer printers and installed and multiple manufacturing locations in the US, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and Malaysia. Also provided Design for Assembly evaluation and recommendations to the R&D engineers.
