I developed a finite element model of the CFHT primary mirror and its support system to simulate the mirror's behavior under various support configurations. Using Python, I built a data pipeline to efficiently export SolidWorks Simulation data into Zemax Optical Studio. In Zemax, I performed detailed optical analyses by comparing spot diagrams generated from the model to those from established cases. Additionally, I simulated "seeing" effects and compared the generated images to actual telescope images, providing a thorough evaluation of the telescope's optical performance under diverse conditions.As a result of this work, the engineering team now has a reliable tool that can predict the behavior of the primary mirror under different support scenarios with an error margin of less than 5 percent, significantly enhancing the accuracy of their analyses and decision-making processes.

Conducted computational research on exhaust aftertreatment via heterogeneous catalysis.Utilized new and existing code to conduct atomic simulations including DFT calculations and surface adsorbate interactions. Plotted convex hull diagrams of different catalytic surfaces (CuPt and CuPd) to determine the most stable configurations, which is used in deciding the catalytic activity and for directing experimental research.

Assisted a team of project engineers in the successful completion of the Lilia Waikiki high-rise construction project by coordinating logistics, managing materials procurement, and facilitating communication. My work was largely on the structural aspect of construction including building reinforcing, concrete finishes, and ensuring compliance with building codes.
