As Director of Process Improvement my role is to work across multiple business deploying processes to ensure the businesses maintain & deliver sustainable financial growth to both the individual business & the Amcomri Group. Working with all levels of the business & sometimes taking an executive lead to ensure we drive for positive change & sustainability, this role will can also sometimes be deployed outside the group on a consultancy basis if required.

Senior Management / Training Consultant with extensive expertise in operational & leadership roles in both Automotive & Aerospace sectors including programme management & change programme delivery. The approach is through strategic planning & deployment, staff engagement and executive coaching ensuring real sustainable cultural change & significant bottom line improvements.Comfortable to coach & operate at all levels of an organisation, from the boardroom through to the shop floor, and across all business functions on an individual or cross functional team basis.

My position is dedicated to managing the industrialisation / introduction of the production of new products & challenging the manufacturing process of current products. Liaising with the Design Authority & Manufacturing, along with defining, plans, budgets and coordinate all necessary activities leading to successful manufacturing and validation of the 1st prototypes assembled and tested aligned with delivering a robust & streamlined manufacturing process to produce hardware for the next 30 yrs at the same standard, within the timescale and budget agreed with the end customer.I have a several Manufacturing Engineers & Technicians working for me both internally & out in the supplychain ensuring we streamline the Value Stream & minimise the lead time & cost to the customer. I also mentor & coach the business in the Lean Sigma tools ensuring the business sustaines & grows its advantage in the market by driving both tool deployment & cultural change.

Train & developed Change Agents whom directly report in to me in the lean/sigma tools so we can accelerate the delivery of bottom line business savings to meet the company’s tight goals.Coaching, project manage and train senior and middle management (blue & white collar) in “Learning to See” using Lean tools and techniques based on TPS, like Standard operations, VSM, BSV, TPM, PDCA, 5c/5s, Problem resolution, Problem solving and Go Look See Audits to achieve the company’s targets on Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People. Development and educating the lower management and shop floor in the same tools and techniques to help ease the change programme through at all levels and thus helping the cultural change through communication, ownership and trust.

To plan and co-ordinate the change programme throughout the global business.I am tasked with identifying areas for change and the training requirements to support these if applicable. Implementing changes in all aspects of the business, working with both employees at all levels, suppliers and customers.Using both Lean and Six Sigma tools where required to deliver the best business benefits under measures of SQCDP. To deliver and co-ordination the development and training of all employees in these techniques which is a major part in ensuring, real sustainable change.

Working on attracting new customers and securing business with my engineering background and by promoting the ethics of continuous improvement to show the customer that we can ensure customer satisfaction in Quality, Cost (using cost down approach), Delivery and People, along with project managing new business. I also conduct comprehensive training sessions with employees on BSV and the Lean toolbox.

As a Lean/Production Engineer within the aerospace division, I championed the lean transformation in which I trained around 70% of the workforce in the Lean tools and techniques I also ran numerous training courses for members of the MOD (PFG) while sharing best practice with company’s such as the Westland Group, BAE and Airbus UK. All training was based upon the TPS (Toyota Production System) but modified to suit the working environment.
