This has been the mainstay of my laboratory experience for the last 11 years.During this time I have maintained strong connections as an alumni of the University of the West of Scotland, helping with career talks and other activities.Outside of the workplace, I work in a volunteer role as a Council member for the Scottish Microbiology Association.
