Working on the Group Benefits division of First Canadian Financial Corporation, I am responsible for various tasks and responsibilities associated group benefits. Responsibilities include: - Analyzing group benefit renewals. - Providing alternates/options for our clients to ensure they get the most out of their employee group benefit plan.- Gathering relevant renewal data for reporting.- Maintaining internal experience, ASO, and refund accounting data as well as other reporting and record keeping to ensure we are on-top of our clients needs.- Providing experienced and sound advice for our clients to satisfy their employee and business needs.- Keeping current with industry trends through training to ensure we are continually on the cutting edge of changes in the group benefits area.- Creating procedures and processes to enhance the overall client experience.

Working within employee benefits my main tasks include processing & analyzing group plan renewals, negotiating renewals with respective carriers, heading up marketing efforts in order to obtain the best pricing possible for our clients, and recommending plan changes to get the most out of our client's group plan while keeping costs' manageable,

Working within the Underwriting team, I am responsible for creating & quoting new business proposals for potential clients. In addition to new business, I also assist with the quoting of plan design amendments for existing clients & help to provide premium quotes on plan design changes. I work with various insurers to ensure the accuracy of quotes & maximum investment potential.
