Inclusion in Practice is a community interest company working provide benefit to those who are socially isolated or who feel socially excluded. There are groups of people who are labelled by public and voluntary sector service providers as “hard to reach”. These are often some of the most vulnerable members of society and include teenage mothers and fathers, fathers, migrant families, parents of children on the risk register and young offenders. The failure to have appropriate access to basic health, well being, and social services increases the potential vulnerability of these groups or individuals and their children and the level of risk that they face. Inclusion in Practice C.I.C. will identify and promote the ways in which services can interact more effectively with these “hard to reach” groups and individuals.

Managing an Innovation Project on behalf of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs); working with partners to identify the safeguarding needs of Eastern European families and contribute to the redesign of services in order to meet those needs

To head up the national and international programme of safeguarding activities undertaken by the Fatherhood Institute and to plan, organise and control operations in order to achieve defined objectives, and make a significant contribution to attaining the goals and targets of the organisation.

Responsibility: to co-ordinate the overall strategic development, implementation and evaluation of the teenage pregnancy strategy for NorfolkNotable achievement: refocus of teenage pregnancy strategy from what was an increasing conception rate, to a reduction rate approximately five times greater than the national average. Governance structure and model pathway for teenage parents recorded and disseminated by DfE as best practice.
