Mark Paterson Email and Phone Number
Hey there! I'm Mark, a Support Engineer Developer based in Melbourne. I have a passion for all things Science Fiction and Fantasy, and at the moment, I am exploring the Cosmere Universe by Brandon Sanderson. When I'm not coding, you can find me practicing Yoga and Pilates to keep my mind and body in balance. With over 6 years of experience in the tech industry, I specialize in Java, .NET and AWS. I love solving complex problems and finding efficient solutions. My curiosity and eagerness to learn have helped me stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.Throughout my tech career so far, I have spent 1.5 years doing Software Development and 5 years as an Support Devoloper Engineer. My biggest accomplishment as a developer was when I automated a manual billing process that took 2 to 3 days for the operations team each month. To accomplish this I had to:- Extract meta data out of pdf files- Upload the meta data to a Google Drive Sheet that needed to be checked by operations- Use the data from the Google Sheet to run a script that sent out one or more emails to each customerI was in charge of the full Software Development life cycle from requirements gathering to deploying to production and what I most valued about the experience was the ability to meet with the actual users of my project and see real world impact that I could make.As a Application or Production Support Analyst or Engineer, I mostly focused on Java based web services, both Spring Boot and J2EE applications. As well as Pega web applications. My biggest strength in support was the ability to write knowledge based articles myself as I investigate my tickets. By writing these knowledge based articles, I was able to mentor fellow Support Engineers, as well as be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist the rest of the Engineering.I strongly believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration. I enjoy working in a dynamic environment where I can exchange ideas and learn from my peers. I am always open to new challenges and opportunities to expand my skillset.Let's connect and chat about potential opportunities! Looking forward to meeting like-minded professionals and building meaningful connections. Cheers!
