I was Mott MacDonald’s Project Manager for Sydney Metro’s Engineering Design & Assurance Partner contract valued at >$600M AUD. This encompassed technical and advisory services and integrated them across Sydney Metro’s programs through a long-term relationship-based integrated delivery partner model. Direct responsibilities included leading a cross-functional team to oversee the operational PMO aspect of the project including defined processes, tools, and systems for the management of scope, schedule, cost, risk, change control, project tracking and reporting within a structured governance framework.

During this time, I led the Stage 1 rail systems and track alignment network design development Work Package valued at $16M AUD for one of Sydney Metro’s programs. Direct responsibilities included leading and influencing the team of over 40 FTEs across 22 disciplines servicing commercial oversight of several sub-contracts, overseeing the schedule, managing forecast accuracy, budgets, change control, quality and performance reporting and working directly with the program manager.Before this, I acted in the role of Change Manager. Duties included drafting and implementing the projects change control process and framework and ongoing management until such time that it became business as usual.

During this time, I was a site-based project manager for multiple projects throughout the Sydney CBD and Metropolitan areas. Direct responsibilities included leading and guiding the design and site delivery teams totalling between 10-25 FTEs. I managed to drive efficiencies that attributed to gains in profits by an additional 15% above baseline forecasts through solution focused planning and value engineering through implementation. Services included commercial oversight of several sub-contracts, overseeing the schedule, budgets, variation requests, quality and safety management, and performance reporting to the divisional manager and other internal executives.
