Verification and consulting on offshore wind energy projects, both in the US and abroad.

Based out of Gamesa's Offshore Wind Technology Center in Virginia. We are Developing a 5MW Offshore turbine known as the G11X project.I am the Certification Focal Point managing the all the related certification tasks. This includes generating the Design Basis, reviewing all relevent standards, coordinating all design documentation and relevent testing reports.

In my short stay there, I worked on the N1000 wind turbine which is a 2 blade, 1 MW wind turbine design. Some of the duties included:- Manage problems in the field relating to both blade and hydraulic issues.- Conducted a root cause analysis on a critical component failure.- Assisted in a turbine installation and commissioning.

Recruited as first member of the technical team to design a 360 kW wind turbine. This is a clean sheet design utilizing many of the techniques and processes current in the wind industry, but at a size that has not had these improvements integrated in the last 15-20 years. For 2.5 years, I have worked closely with our local design team as well as outside wind consultants and vendors in this design process.
