I have been working on improving how we move information in a much larger scope within the nationwide SpartanNash maintenance department. In 2022 I have started an interactive refrigeration map project for SpartanNash that takes up nearly all my time. These maps use hyperlink technology to provide more detailed information on circuit defrost times throughout each store. The information is easy to access as popups occur when associates "mouseover" any case or walk-in cooler/freezer throughout each store. With the start of cloud-based data storage and integrated software systems, I have developed cellphone compatible apps using Excel and OneNote software that work well in Facilities and Maintenance Management functions. They are collaborative in function since they are monitored in real-time by our administration office people. One of the most successful of these is the SpartanNash purchase order file. Many of these latest Excel files have automatic time stamps and some of them do automatic time calculations in hours and minutes using those time stamps. These can be used to analyze sales over time or also record work hours. Prior to my move to SpartanNash, and during the past eight years I have been designing sophisticated calculators in Microsoft Excel that work as decision tools and are also used to do estimating in the sales business. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 majoring in Technical Management at Devry University in Chicago. My training and experience in computer technology combined with my years of experience in Maintenance Management is a unique combination among job seekers. I enjoy building extremely complex calculators in Excel. For instance, in my bachelor level algebra class, I built a quadratic equation calculator in Excel that accurately solves unique equations by instantly delivering the two answers to each algebraic problem. I am also skilled at statistical analysis---my expert Excel skills coupled with my experience using SPSS can help to find patterns in large databases. I used SPSS to help a PhD analyze their dissertation data. I am also able to describe the patterns that the statistical results uncover. In my past, I have managed small and large groups of maintenance and construction workers along with large groups of absentee ballot workers as an Absentee Ballot co-chair---a more office-oriented setting. I believe in Robert K. Greenleaf's servant leadership philosophy where managers work to develop people's professional lives using Greenleaf's caring and highly positive leadership style.
