Responsible for pricing and profit management of the Large Corporate Private Medical Insurance (PMI) line within the UK Health business, having responsibility for two direct reports.Involved in day to day decision making and sign off of PMI quotes for large corporate clients, alongside corporate underwriting.Key achievements include: development of a detailed marginal cost analysis and planning model to determine the Commercial pricing framework; development of a more robust pricing tool and performance monitoring process; enhancement of MI delivered to the business.

Following my time in the Financial Reporting function I have worked in a pricing team. The Group Risk Pricing team is responsible for pricing and profit management of Group Life, Group Income Protection and Group Critical Illness business, working closely with the underwriters of these products. This is a much more commercial role and has challenged my skills communicating with colleagues at different levels of the business. I have had the opportunity to gain experience considering quote proposals and I have been granted authority to sign-off medium-sized cases.I have been able to be involved in a project to develop a new quote and administration system in conjunction with a software development company, where my role involved providing an actuarial viewpoint, particularly in the testing of the quote calculation.

Joined the Healthcare arm of Aviva, initially working to support the production of monthly valuation and profitability reports on the Group Life Assurance and Income Protection products. Responsibilities included MCEV and IFRS reporting, the maintenance and development of Prophet models for valuation and business planning, QIS5 and ICA submissions. Built new reporting processes to segment the performance monitoring of the Group Life Assurance business. Performed an annual premium review for cohorts of Individual Income Protection business.
